The All-American Prospects were formed in the Spring of 2005 by Mike Adams, Frank Schaeffer, and Bill Lockwood. Each year, our teams consist entirely of high school underclassmen (17 and under) who compete against the nation's top 18 and under summer teams, comprised mostly of graduating seniors.

Our goal is to provide a summer program capable of competing against the country's elite summer teams, while providing each player with the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the nation's top college recruiters and professional scouts at the summer's premiere events. Although we strive to win, it is more important that our players be seen by college recruiters in hopes of securing an athletic scholarship. Thus, if a college recruiter wishes to see a particular player, we will alter our regular lineup to give that recruiter the opportunity to see the player. We find this approach is in the best interest of our players.

As a result, since 2006 no less than 75 of our players have signed scholarships to attend schools such as Florida, Miami, Florida State, Louisville, North Carolina State, Stetson, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Yale, Brown, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, LSU, Samford, South Florida, College of Charleston, and Duke as well as several prominent junior college programs.

The Prospects have won two of the past four World Wood Bat Association 17-under National Championships, finishing third out of 152 teams in the 2007 event, as well as the 2006 USA Baseball Junior Olympic East Championship. In 2008, we won the prestigious AABC 16 and under Mickey Mantle World Series and WWBA UnderClass World Championship.

The Prospects have had 35 players selected in the 2006, 2007, and 2008 MLB draft, including seven - Chris Marrero, Colton Willems, Adrian Cardenas, David Christensen, John Tolisano, Danny Rams, and Casey Kelly - in the first two rounds. All seven, along with several others are currently playing minor-league baseball.

The All American Prospects, Inc. have numerous programs designed to prepare and expose our players to college recruiters, major league scouts and the best summer competition available. Preparing our players for competition outside the comfortable local league play we feel is essential to expanding the players' competitive spirit and help them learn to deal with the failures associated with playing baseball at a higher level.
